Corporate governance is about how a business is governed, managed, and monitored with the aim of creating value for the company’s shareholders and other stakeholders (employees, suppliers, customers, and society). We aim to create the conditions for sustainable, responsible, and effective governance through active and accountable corporate bodies, a clear division of roles and responsibilities, and accurate reporting and disclosure.
Our work in the area of corporate governance is aimed at ensuring responsible conduct both internally and among our partners. Our corporate governance is designed to ensure adherence to our values: people, quality, honesty, and respect.
We have clear and well-communicated policies to ensure good corporate governance
At Werksta, we have clarified our corporate governance through a number of policies that have been communicated internally within the company. Our policies include, among other things:
Werksta Supplier Code of Conduct, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Sick Leave and Rehabilitation Policy, Gender Equality Policy, Alcohol and Drug Policy, Recruitment Policy, Werksta Code of Ethics, Quality Policy, Traffic Safety Policy, Information Policy, etc.
We take responsibility for our actions
Werksta aims to be a workplace where each of our employees can safely report any misconduct they discover. Werksta therefore has a whistleblower policy to complement our standard internal reporting procedures. This is to detect and prevent all types of misconduct that could seriously harm our business or our employees. A whistleblower program provides all employees with the opportunity to report suspected misconduct anonymously.
Through the whistleblower function, employees and business partners can report suspected violations of laws or Werksta’s internal rules that have been committed, sanctioned, or intentionally overlooked by individuals in management positions or other key personnel. Information reported through the whistleblower function is treated confidentially and ensures that the matter is handled securely and effectively for those who have chosen to use the whistleblower function.
